The full information creation PSIM security prevention management platform safeguards oil depot security.

2025-12-08

In February 2025, Zhongsheng Huawei built a fully information creation intelligent video + gas alarm industrial monitoring platform for a branch company of Sinopec, setting a benchmark case for the intelligent digital upgrade of oil depot safety.

Project Background

This project was applied to three oil depots under the company, aiming to solve the needs of multi - brand compatibility, compatibility between old and new systems, integration of gas and fire alarm detection, and indigenous innovation transformation.

Customer's Pain Points

Through in - depth communication with the on - site security personnel and on - site investigations at the project site, the following customer needs were summarized:

Insufficient storage cycle

The existing network storage resources of the project were limited, and the existing cameras could not store videos. As a key target unit for anti - terrorism prevention, it did not meet the requirement of the National "Anti - Terrorism Law" for 90 - day monitoring storage of key units. Storage expansion and transformation of the project were required.

Multiple brands of front - end devices

Due to the phased construction of the project's video security system, the front - end cameras involved multiple different brands such as Hikvision, Uniview, and Dahua. Video recording storage expansion was required on the basis of unified connection.

Light transformation and rapid upgrade

There was already a set of video security platforms on site. The on - site security personnel were accustomed to the operation logic of this system. The customer required that the learning cost of the on - site security personnel should not be increased. At the same time, the project construction period required a short - cycle and rapid completion of the transformation to quickly achieve the goal of extending the video recording storage period.

Inability to quickly locate gas alarm videos

Each of the three oil depots had gas detection equipment to detect gas concentration. After the detection equipment alarmed, the video surveillance of the alarm area could not be directly retrieved and viewed, which greatly increased the on - site labor input.

Requirement for indigenous innovation transformation

As a key target unit for anti - terrorism prevention, in order to actively respond to the national requirement for indigenous innovation transformation, the video security system needed to be gradually replaced with domestic products.

Project Highlights

Based on an in - depth analysis of the above customer pain points, a system of "indigenous innovation + video storage + gas alarm video linkage" was built for the customer in this project. At the same time, the existing servers were made compatible with the domestic video surveillance system, realizing the unified management of oil depot video surveillance.

|Quick positioning of gas alarms

The "indigenous innovation + video storage + gas alarm video linkage" system deployed in this project was based on the domestic video surveillance system. By connecting various types of existing gas alarm devices through the ModBus general protocol, it could achieve a full - process response including quick response, timely handling, and post - event review when a gas alarm occurred, greatly improving the response speed and handling efficiency of employees in the face of gas leakage.

|Wide compatibility and full connection

In terms of south - bound docking, the system had strong compatibility. Through video access standard protocols and video SDKs of mainstream front - end manufacturers, it could seamlessly connect to cameras of multiple different brands such as Uniview and Hikvision involved in this project. At the same time, cameras added or replaced in the user's subsequent update and transformation projects could still be directly connected to the industrial monitoring platform.

|Indigenous innovation and server reuse

Based on the concept of indigenous innovation and server reuse, this project not only used a domestic video surveillance system for the first time in our company's petrochemical industry projects but also made it compatible with the existing industrial monitoring platform, reducing the learning cost for oil depot employees.

|Smooth switching and rapid launch

To ensure the rapid launch of the project, our company pre - planned the computer room and equipment space before project delivery, refined the implementation steps, and arranged personnel in advance. Finally, within 72 hours after the equipment arrived, the system deployment and all equipment connection and video recording configuration work were completed, minimizing the project implementation cycle and ensuring the timely operation of the system.

At the same time, through the docking of the "video storage + gas alarm video linkage" system with the existing video security management platform of the project, users could centrally view the real - time videos and video recording data of all cameras on the original platform of the existing network without changing the original business operation logic. There was no need to add an additional management platform, which effectively reduced the learning and adaptation costs of management personnel facing multiple systems and platforms.
