Digital Campus Integrated Security Upgrade | S200 PSIM Platform Helps Build a Safe Campus

2026-10-19

As a key national university, the campus security and perimeter control standards are stringent. While the university has high security requirements, the existing traditional manual security model has many shortcomings.

The S200 PSIM provides unified access to campus security equipment,integrating optical and visual linkage, security and fire protection integration, and 2.5D mapping capabilities to create a three-in-one protection system encompassing perimeter defense, security and fire protection linkage, and overall security. It breaks down data barriers, enabling intelligent risk perception and visualized scheduling, and completing the digital upgrade of security from passive response to proactive early warning and closed-loop management.

Project Overview

Approximately 1,800 surveillance cameras cover key areas such as teaching buildings, dormitories, stadiums, entrances and exits, and perimeters, and are compatible with both existing cameras and new equipment.

Relying on the S200 PSIM to uniformly manage video, optical-visual linkage, police reports, fire protection, and 2.5D maps, it promotes the upgrade of security from decentralized management to unified perception, proactive early warning, and closed-loop response.

Existing security challenges

Pain Point 1: Heterogeneous Equipment and Fragmented Data

The coexistence of old and new security and fire protection equipment, coupled with data barriers between subsystems, makes cross-system collaboration difficult.

  • Pain Point 2: Dispersed scheduling and delayed response

The lack of a unified dispatch platform means that alarms cannot be automatically linked to video, requiring manual intervention and resulting in delayed responses.

  • Pain Point 3: Lack of spatial maps limits command and control

The lack of map display for equipment and alarm locations makes inspection and emergency positioning difficult, and it is hard to grasp the overall situation.

Optical-visual linkage: intelligent verification, closed-loop management

Light sensing is used to correlate video, and alarms automatically retrieve surveillance footage;

Integrate alarms with video analysis to filter out invalid alarms and reduce the burden of review;

Map-marked alarms, connecting confirmation, dispatch, and processing record-keeping;

The alarm status is visualized to assist in risk assessment.

Integrated security and fire protection: data sharing and coordinated response.

Standard interface for customized integration with fire protection systems, enabling real-time reception of fire and equipment malfunction alarms;

Aggregates security and fire protection data for centralized display and management;

Fire alarm linkage video pop-up verification, automatic video recording for evidence;

Support the classification and contingency plan management of police incidents and standardize the handling process.

2.5D Map: Full-area visualization, emergency command

Customized 2.5D maps integrating monitoring, fire protection, and alarm locations;

The image above displays the equipment status and alarm locations, providing a clear and intuitive view of the safety situation.

Supports event trajectory playback for quick location of the incident;

Supports online global inspection, emergency command, and event dispatch.

S200 PSIM Integrated Smart Security System

By breaking down heterogeneous devices and information silos, and supporting proactive early warning, unified dispatch, and closed-loop management with intelligent verification, security and fire protection linkage, and visual inspection, we can improve emergency response efficiency and build an integrated smart security system for universities.
